Buccaneer Player Apologizes For Being Disrespectful To The City Of Detroit
Buccaneer Player Apologizes For Being Disrespectful To The City Of Detroit. I was at the playoff game and didn’t realize something went down until I got home and looked on social media. I have lived in St. Petersburg for 4 years but I was born and raised in Detroit. I was rooting for both teams but super happy that the Lions won. Even though Detroit got the win, they were upset with Buccaneer player Rachaad White.
Rachaad White Apologizes For Being Disrespectful To Detroit
During the game, Rachaad White made a touchdown which was awesome. After he made the touchdown, he did a celebration dance. The celebration dance is what had the city of Detroit upset with him. The dance which you see him doing below is called the “Boss Up” Dance.

Why Was The City Of Detroit Upset About A Dance?
The “Boss Up” dance was created by the late Detroit legend Blade Icewood. He was one of the biggest underground rappers to come out of Detroit and was well respected amongst his peers and the entire city. After many assassination attempts on his life, he was unfortunately killed in April of 2005. His legacy still lives on however and the people of Detroit were upset with Rachaad for trolling.
If you go to Rachaad’s Instagram, you will see many upset Detroit fans in the comments. Now even though many of us thought it was trolling. Rachaad said he was not, but he was only paying homage. Apparently he has family members that are from Detroit. He even messaged Blade Icewood’s son on Instagram and apologized.

Blade Icewood’s son saying to stop giving him a hard time! His dad is the one who created the dance and if he is saying leave him alone, then we should. Besides, Detroit won the game. Nobody should be upset, we have San Francisco to worry about next week.
