“Many parents are now concerned after child dies on Florida beach.” According to the Orlando Sentinel, a 5-year-old girl is now dead after her and another child fell in a sand hole. This horrific incident happened at Lauderdale-by-the-sea after they were digging a hole in the sand. Sadly the sand collapsed and buried both them both.
Young Girl Died Tuesday After Being Trapped In The Sand On Florida Beach
Reports tell us that both children were digging a 5-6 foot hole in the sand. When it collapsed, the boy was buried in the sand up to his chest and the girl was buried completely underneath the boy. Beachgoers tried helping dig them out, but it was too late.
The boy did survive and is in critical condition . Sadly after being rushed to the hospital, the 5-year-old girl was pronounced dead. The children have not been identified as of yet. Very sad and unfortunate situation. A young girl lost her life doing something that most kids do when they go to the beach. I remember being a kid and digging holes in the sand. My sister and I also oved to build sandcastles. Is this something you will be cautious of now when taking your kids to the beach?

As a parent, Im sure you will now be more cautious when letting your kids play in the sand on the beach. I talked about this on the radio, and many parents did say they were now scared to let their kids dig holes in the sand. I have never heard anything like this happening! The beach is suppose to be fun, not somewhere kids lose their lives.
