Tampa’s Barely Legal Collective Puts On Epic Show In Ybor City
I think it’s time Tampa starts taking notice of it’s next big hip-hop group. The name is Barely Legal but, they’re of legal age (LOL), & they hail from the 813. The group, or collective consists of multiple members but, Miguel Morales, Kid Dre, Chowder Band$ & Jo are the musicians of the crew.
Putting BL into a box by calling them a hip-hop group would be a disservice to them. The group is a very eclectic crew, with sounds ranging from Hip-Hop & R&B to Alternative. Their latest EP, Good Luck with That, really shows the group’s growth as artists, and diving into the realm of alternative rap.
To celebrate the collective’s new sound, Barely Legal threw a concert event in their own backyard, in YBor City at Nana’s. The show, titled My Ex’s Favorite Show was a huge success with support from Speak Easy, & being cheered on by fans, family, & friends. There was some cool merch they were selling at the show, I wish I was able to get, that said “My Ex’s Favorite Ex.” Check out the recap from this past weekends event & look out for Barley Legal.
