All Things X-Men, Rebel Moon & Deadpool With Geek Culture Congress
The Geeks are back with another episode on all thing’s nerd for all the comic book “sweaties” out there who just can’t get enough of the current X-Men ’97 series, Marvel and DC movie news, Rebel Moon andmore. Speedy alongside Richie Ortiz, Tarik, and I (Joey Franchize). The crew dives right into all the hype around the new episode from the Disney+ hit.
We are getting close to the end of the first season of the popular X-Men ’97 series, and things are starting to get intense. Spoiler Alert! If you haven’t been watching or caught up with the Marvel cartoon, our mutant superheroes are in some big trouble as the sentinels have destroyed the mutant island of Genosha. It led to the deaths of Gambit and many other innocent mutants. Rogue goes on a rouge mission where she is on the hunt for those responsible killing her beloved Gambit. In this episode we find out that someone has been pulling the strings this entire time.
It was an interesting plot twist in the episode, as the X-Men were on the hunt for the creator of the sentinels, Bolivar Trask. We come to find out that Trask is just a pawn to lure the X-Men in to be terminated by higher power. The humanoid sentinel, Bastion has infected Trask and other humans across the planet with a virus that turns them into humanoid sentinels like himself, that he can control.
It was an intense episode where the X-Men had an insane stand-off with the sentinel version of Trask, and we also find out that Magneto is still a live and his is in Bastion’s possession. The geeks also touch on some other Marvel news, & Zach Snyder’s Netflix sci-fi film Rebel Moon 2.
