All The ‘Easter Eggs’ We Found In The New Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer
Our favorite merc with the mouth has entered the chat at Marvel. Deadpool is now in the MCU, & ready to take the brand to another level. Thanks to Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox a couple of years ago, they obtained of chunk of properties that included, the X-Men & Deadpool. In the new episode of Geek Culture Congress podcast, we discuss all the “Easter eggs” we found in the new Deadpool & Wolverine trailer.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been waiting patiently to not only see Ryan Reynolds reprise the character he’s played since 2016 but, also see mutants appear in the 616-universe as well. Deadpool & Wolverine will be here very soon (July 26th), and it’s already built up a lot of hype ever since the first teaser trailer dropped during the “big game” this past February.
On April 22nd, we got the official Deadpool & Wolverine trailer for the film, & at this point, Marvel can just shut up and take my money, because this new trailer is next level! So many “WTF” moments that will have nerds like myself pointing at the screening in shock & enjoyment. We got a sleeveless Wolverine, cameos from the classic X-Men films, a giant Ant-Man skull, & Professor X’s evil twin sister!
There is so much to unpack with this trailer, and I’ve probably watched it over 20 times. July can’t come any sooner. In the latest podcast with my fellow geeks Richie, Speedy, & Tarik we react to the new trailer, point out all the Easter eggs, & breakdown how this movie can single handedly save Marvel from its recent lackluster phases.
