You Can Get Arrested If You Fall Into A Lake In Florida?
You can get arrested if you fall into a lake in Florida? This is the question I had when I heard about the incident that happened after a man fell into Crystal lake. Crystal Lake is about 2 hours from where I live in St. Petersburg. It was only after reading the full story that I saw it was more to it. No, you cannot be arrested just for falling into a lake. You can however be arrested if police arrest you and then find out you have warrants.
Florida Man Arrested After Falling Into A Lake
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s office, two men had to be rescued after falling into a lake in Polk County. After the men were saved, they had to give the medics information. One of the men gave a false name, and police were shocked at what they found out next. After scanning his fingerprints, police were able to determine that his name was Timothy Lantrhip. Lantrhip gave a fake name because had 6 warrants out for his arrest. One for violating probation and the other 5 for failure to appear. He was arrested and taken into Polk County Jail. I know he was probably wishing he would have never fallen off of that boat.
Have You Ever Had A Warrant Out For Your Arrest?
I have never had a warrant out for my arrest, thank god! I do however have a brother who had plenty of them when he was younger. All petty theft stuff but he did try to do what Lantrhip did one time. Him and my oldest brother pretty much look a like. When he got pulled over, he gave the cops my older brothers name. Cops were not buying it and ended up taking him to jail. Crazy times! He’s a modeled citizen now!
