Man Loses His Big Toe Because Of A Nail Salon Pedicure
Sometimes the nail salon slices us a little while trimming our cuticles or cutting our nails, but most of us have been lucky enough to keep our fingers and toes attached after an appointment!
Indiana’s Kenneth Jackey paid a heavy price for his pedicure, and now only possesses one big toe. During his pedicure the nail tech used a large blade to cut away dead skin and calluses. According to USA Today the blade cut him causing an infection in his toe, which lead to amputation.
Despite having dirty equipment the nail salon could be in trouble for breaking the law.

Indiana law prohibits salons from using razor devices to shave, reduce or remove calluses because they can cause bleeding, potential infections and remove healthy skin as well as dead skin.
