Florida Store Releases Limited Edition Michael Jordan Sneaker
Who would have known that Michael Jordan had Florida ties? A Florida store that is inspired by and worships all things the GOAT released a limited edition Michael Jordan sneaker.
Well, he was the first player to have his jersey retired by a team he didn’t play for (Miami Heat), and of course having his jersey stolen in Orlando when he played the Magic, that one time where he had to sport the number 12. Or it could also be the fact that his son, Marcus Jordan, went to school in Orlando, attending the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Florida Store Inspired By Michael Jordan
Marcus Jordan played basketball for UCF from 2009-2012 and has been well-known in the Central Florida area for some years. Now, Marcus’ basketball career didn’t pan out the way maybe he had hoped, so he shifted to getting his degree in hospitality management at the University. This would lead him to open a high-end sneaker store in 2016, that was dedicated to the legacy & empire his father built, thus you have, Trophy Room.
Since 2016, Trophy Room, located around the central business district in Orlando, has been known to annually release a limited shoe through the Air Jordan brand, and when your dad runs the company, it’s like a kid in a candy store when choosing your silhouette. These rare shoes are coveted by sneakerheads all over the globe, & this year is no different. This year, they went with, my personal favorite, the Air Jordan 1 Low.
I was lucky enough to hit on the shoes through their raffle, & I’ll just say, pictures don’t do this sneaker justice. You have to see them in person! The material & quality are on point, & I love the inspiration. The shoe was inspired by Michael Jordan’s rookie year, and every little detail in the sneaker gives off that vibe.
The limited edition Michael Jordan sneaker retailed for $140 but, since it’s sold out everywhere, and if you REALLY want a pair, resell value is between $400 – $600.
