The War Of The Popcorn Buckets Has Begun
With some blockbuster summer movies starting to roll out, Floridians have every excuse to not be outside in this excruciating heat. One of the summer’s most anticipated movies is easily Marvel’s only theatrical release of the year, Deadpool & Wolverine. A new trend that is taking over this year is themed popcorn buckets, which brings us to the release of the Deadpool popcorn bucket.
Ryan Reynolds is back as everyone’s favorite “Merc with the Mouth,” and speaking of mouth there is a whole lot of that. Not just in the movie but in the exclusive popcorn bucket that will be sold the week the movie releases. If you recall a few months ago, there was a lot of attention surrounding the movie Dune: Part Two because their popcorn bucket was very… Interesting.
Dune’s popcorn bucket was made to resemble the “worms” from the film but was seen as something else by the internet. There was a lot of controversy surrounding this bucket and even became the “butt of every joke” on social media. With Marvel’s Deadpool being the character that he is, Ryan Reynolds decided to raise the stakes and challenge Dune’s infamous popcorn bucket, by coming up with one more obscure.

Hence, the Wolverine bucket was revealed. The anticipated popcorn bucket has been more anticipated by fans than the actual movie because Reynolds himself said he would be designing and was going to out do the Dune bucket. It looks like Ryan out did himself with his movie’s bucket. It is in the shape of Wolverine’s head with his mouth open wide where the popcorn goes. Social media and movie goers reacted hilariously to this bucket when it hit social media yesterday (May 30th).
Me personally, couldn’t stop laughing because I know Hugh Jackman, who will reprise his role as Wolverine in the film, is somewhere shaking his head in disgust. I’ve collected quite a few movie buckets that Marvel has put out, and I might have to add this one to the collection as well. The bucket will retail at $24.99. Can’t wait to see Deadpool & Wolverine July 26th.
