It was a night of aggressive twerking and just overall fun as the queen of the Hot Girls took to the stage at Amalie Arena over the weekend. Megan Thee Stallion, alongside GloRilla brought all the “hotties” out as one of the summer’s big hip-hop shows of the year came to Tampa Bay. The concert atmosphere felt something like a Beyoncé show just with fans wearing bright clothes and some with cowboy hats, makes sense because Megan is from Texas.

The ladies were active for this show and I’m not going to lie, I was curious to see what it was about so, I was in attendance. I had a great view of the show and as I got to my seat, I was amazed at how epic Meg’s stage was. Production was on point for this sold-out show. Fans, were eager for Megan to bless the stage and as soon as she came out, it was non-stop twerking at its finest, to go with the anthems, and hits.

However, there was a part of the night where Megan had broken down into tears. Prior, to performing her song “Cobra,” Thee Stallion paused and talked about the bad day she had earlier. If you haven’t been paying attention, there was an explicit video, created by AI that featured Meg. The video was a deep fake, and Megan let it be known on social media that she was livid. It’s got to be hard to have something like that happen to you early in your day, and then get on stage and entertain.

Tampa felt Meg’s pain and sympathized with her by chanting her name and helping her push through her performance. Shout out to Tampa for helping their fellow hottie through that hard moment. After that Megan gave Tampa an amazing show.

After a social media hiatus, Megan Thee Stallion is back. Megan dropped off social media after the sentencing of Tory Lanez (born Daystar Peterson). Lanez was found guilty of three charges: first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He shot the rapper in the foot in 2020 after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s home.

The rapper was sentenced to 10 years in prison after his bail motion was denied in September. Prosecutors initially asked for 13 years. Following his sentencing, Lanez wrote a note to his fan base, “The Umbrellas” on Instagram.

Tory’s statement read: “In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of,” Tory wrote on Instagram. “I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious. Tough times don’t last, tough people do. To my family, friends, and umbrellas thank you for your continued support. See you soon.”

Megan didn’t appear in court but she sent a statement in on her behalf.

“He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma,” Megan wrote, per

Incredibly, Judge Herriford managed to not finish today. We are coming back tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. A few more things to talk about, then argument, then Herriford will sentence Tory Lanez.
