Man Tries Selling Something Sacred To Buy For Drugs
A man from South Carolina was arrested for stealing his ex-girlfriend’s ashes. Jackson Rutland, 19, texted his ex, telling her that he stole the ashes to sell them, so he could buy some heroin. According to the arrest record, the woman returned home, found the back door busted open and the home ransacked.
She told police her mother’s ashes had been tampered with and some were spread on the floor. Rutland was found by the police later that day and has been charged with burglary and desecration or removal of human remains. [Source: New York Post]
I think the bigger question here is. Who in the hell would buy someone’s ashes?!?!
