Florida Gators Star Recruit Loses Scholarship After Singing “N” Word On Socials
After using the “N” word while singing a song on social media, a 4 star quarterback recruit has lost his scholarship. According to TMZ, the University of Florida withdrew its offer to Marcus Stokes after a clip surfaced of him using the “N” word. Stokes who played for Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach committed to the Gators in July. He has since jumped on took Twitter to explain what happened and to apologize.
“I was in my car listening to rap music, rapping along to the words and posted a video of it on social media.”

“I fully accept the consequences for my actions, and I respect the University of Florida’s decision to withdraw my scholarship offer to play football,” he continued. “My intention was never to hurt anybody and I recognize that even when going along with a song, my words still carry a lot of weight.” [Source TMZ]
