Family Member Found Florida Cop Dead In Front Of Fire Station
This is a very sad and unfortunate situation that hits close to home. According To News channel 8, “Family member found Florida cop dead in front of fire station.” I say it hits close to home because it happened at Tampa Fire Rescue Headquarters which is about 30 minutes from where I live in St. Petersburg. The entire Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office is devastated and mourning the loss of one of their brothers. So what exactly happened on August 29th?
Hillsborough County Deputy Found Dead By Suicide In Front Of Fire Station
Sadly, Deputy Timothy White was found dead on August 29th. Police reports tell us that it was from a self inflicted gunshot wound and that he was found by a family member. Sheriff Chad Chronister released a statement saying, “I am devastated to learn that one of our own was suffering in silence. The entire Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office grieves with Deputy White’s loved ones. To anyone in crisis, please know you are not alone; help is available.”

Sometimes there are no signs that people are contemplating suicide but most times there are. According to Alaska Regional, below are subtle signs that someone may be contemplating suicide:
- Avoiding social situations more often and for no particular reason
- Unusual purchases, such as buying supplies, objects or weapons, that wouldn’t normally be needed but could be used for self-harm
- Indifference about slipping performance at work or school
- Talking about feelings of guilt, shame or hopelessness
- Increasing use of alcohol, or new or worsening drug abuse
- Giving up on personal hygiene and positive habits, like following a healthy diet and exercising
- Being more careless about taking medications properly and no longer keeping chronic health issues, like diabetes, under control
- Driving recklessly or engaging in riskier behaviors
