Frank Ocean’s Brother Reportedly Died In a Car Crash
On Sunday morning (Aug. 2), Frank Ocean’s brother, Ryan Breaux reportedly died in a fiery car crash, as Rap-Up reports.
ABC 7 recently reported that two people were killed in a single-car crash in Thousand Oaks, California. The victims of the fiery car crash weren’t named by officials. However, friends have identified them as Ocean’s 18-year-old brother, Ryan Breaux, and his friend Ezekiel “Zeek” Bishop.
There’s currently an ongoing investigation regarding the crash, but the vehicle appeared to have left the road and collided with a tree in the center median just after 1:30 a.m. The vehicle then ripped in half from the force of the crash before bursting into flames. Both occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ventura County Fire Department.

Friends of Breux took to Ryan’s Instagram page to mourn the loss and share heartfelt messages, following the tragic news. “You gave us all love and laughter brother. Love you forever. I hope I get to see you again one day,” wrote Brandon Thomas Lee, while another friend added, “I can’t breathe I love you so much.”
Paris Brosnan, actor Pierce Brosnan’s son and friend to Breaux, also wrote a heartfelt tribute. “To my brother, who was talented beyond belief, possessed a heart of gold, had an energy that was infectious, a smile & laugh that lifted everyone’s spirit, and was a loyal and authentic friend to anyone he knew. You were just getting started and ready to show the world who you were,” wrote Paris.
He continued, “You were a leader and you had a whole army of loyal soldiers behind you. Thank you for being there for me when I needed you most, thank you for all the wild nights, thank you for your music and all the late-night studio sessions with Fray, thank you for blessing us ALL with your presence on this earth. I will carry you in my heart always. Until I see you again brother. Ryan Breaux forever & Zeek Bishop forever.”
On Sept. 1, Breaux would have turned 19-years-old. He can be heard on Ocean’s 2016 album Blonde, being interviewed on “Future Free,” which is the album’s closing track. Ocean has yet to speak on the tragedy.
