Vogue Sues Drake & 21 Savage for $4M
Welp looks like Ye isn’t the only one getting sued nowadays. Drake and 21 Savage released their collaborative album “Her Loss” last week. After the album had to be delayed due to producer “40” catching covid, Drake and 21 Savage decided to take that time and promote the album in some unique ways. They had a lot of us confused. We saw clips of them doing the famous “Tiny Desk” concert series, followed by them on a stage performing on Saturday Night Live, and a Howard Stern interview. This all looked real, until we all realized it wasn’t and was just in promotion of the album “Her Loss”. Another promo tactic they went with was covering the famous “Vogue” magazine cover.
Doing a fake promo cover of them using Vogue’s name didn’t work out too good for them. They are now being sued by Vogue’s Publisher Condé Nast for $4M. They also went above and beyond and put up the fake posters through Miami and other big cities. According to TMZ, even though Drake shouted out Anna Wintour on his album, Condé Nast who owns Vogue claims they have not endorsed “Her Loss” in any way. They even asked multiple times for all promos with the Vogue’s name to be removed, but nothing had been done.
Sounds like his loss in this situation… To Be Continued!
