Doja Cat Slams Fans That Compare Her ‘Masc’ Cover Art To Pubic Hair
Doja Cat slams fans after they compare the cover art of her new song to pubic hair. The California native shared the artwork to accompany her new song “Masc” which shows a close-up shot of the singer’s hair.
Fans compared the Scarlet creator’s texture to “carpet,” “sheep wool,” and “pubic hair” after showing her tight hair texture.
“My hair is 4C, which a lot of you don’t care, that’s fine,” Doja began, referencing her hair texture type on Instagram Live per Us Weekly. “I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comments section of people [asking] is my hair pubic hair, Is it carpet, or is it sheep’s wool. Some people are even saying that’s what it is. People comparing [my hair] to sheep, pubic hair and popcorn. Really? We gotta move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow. Let’s stop. I can’t tell you what to do. I’m not your f——- parents, but I don’t want to say too much. I just need people [to stop].”
Doja Cat Cuts Her Hair On Instagram Live
Doja Cat shaved her hair on Instagram Live back in 2022, saying that she never liked the idea of having hair.
“I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway,” she said. “I don’t like having hair. I never liked having hair. I cannot tell you one time since the beginning of my life that I’ve ever been like, ‘This is cool.’ I just do not like to have hair.”
She then shared with fans that the upkeep on her wigs made everyday activities harder.
“I remember feeling so f—ing just exhausted with working out,” she shared. “Whenever I went to go train—I had a trainer at one point—and I’d be wearing wigs and they would be getting tacky and retack because of the moisture, and then they’d start sliding and peeling off my head when I’d be doing this incredibly strenuous thing.”
The singer also shaved her eyebrows during Instagram Live. She said it’s been a long time coming: “I just cannot believe it took me this long to be like, ‘Shave your f–king head,'” she said adding that she’s “really liking this.”
The singer has since stopped comments on the “Masc,” artwork. Earlier this month, she told fans that she is deactiviating her
“Hey i’m gonna deactivate because i’m not really feeling this anymore,” she wrote in a now-deleted post at the time per Page Six.
“You guys take care of yourselves. i like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative but i just feel like this is getting to be too much.”
“Masc” is scheduled to drop this Friday (April 5).
